BUICK ENCORE VS HONDA HR-V

The Buick Encore and Honda HR-V are two vehicles popular with drivers throughout Kingfisher, Dover, and Oklahoma City, and it’s easy to see why. Both these cars are reliable, fun to drive, and come with an assortment of impressive features. But which one is the right fit for you and your family?

Our team at Jacksons Chevrolet Buick GMC took a look at both cars and thoroughly checked out the different features so we can tell you how they measure up. Want to know which one ranked as our top pick? Then read on to see our review of the Buick Encore vs Honda HR-V.

BUICK ENCORE VS HONDA HR-V: POWER

The Buick Encore comes with a powerful and comfortable driving experience that lets you feel in control under even less-than-ideal driving conditions. The 1.4-liter engine provides you with 148 lb-ft of torque, giving you a powerful drive tough enough to tackle any terrain.

The 6-speed automatic transmission lets you seamlessly shift gears, providing you with precision and control on even the tightest of turns.

The Honda HR-V, on the other hand, comes with a 1.8-liter engine that gives you 127 lb-ft of torque, which is distinctly less than what's offered by the Buick Encore. This makes for a less powerful driving experience.

It also comes with a continuously variable transmission. This means you won't be able to feel as the car changes gears or the engine revs, which can prove a distinct distraction for some drivers.

ENTERTAINMENT & CONNECTIVITY

It's easy to stay in touch with the people who matter most in your Buick Encore. This automobile comes standard with the ability to turn into a 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot. This means you and your passengers will be able to stream your favorite music, podcasts, games, and apps without eating up cellular data or losing service on remote roads.

It also comes standard with a SiriusXM® radio trial, allowing you to explore this fun entertainment option. You'll be able to stream hundreds of different stations, ensuring you always have the best soundtrack for wherever your travels take you.

The Honda HR-V, unfortunately, does not offer hotspot capabilities. This means that more often than not, you'll end up using up your cellular data when streaming. It does offer SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, but only in the later trims.

BUICK ENCORE VS HONDA HR-V: SAFETY FEATURES

You'll feel safe even with less-than-ideal driving conditions thanks to OnStar® and Buick Connected Services capabilities, which come standard in the Buick Encore. These impressive safety features allow you to connect with help quickly and easily in case you need roadside assistance.

You'll enjoy emergency services, clear navigation options, and even hands-free calling, all of which will help you stay safe no matter where your travels might take you.

The Honda HR-V, on the other hand, does not offer these safety features. This could leave to drivers feeling less secure when heading out on the road.
